Citynet Race Team Among Cycling Elite

Citynet's own cross-country racing team made cycling news with a Top-Five finish at the recent "24 Hours of Snowshoe" competition at Snowshoe Resort. Competing against 65 other teams from across the country and Canada, the "Citynet Surfers' " fifth-place finish in the Open class placed them among the competition's elite.
Captained by Citynet senior programmer Ben Lorenzo of Charleston, the all-West Virginia crew raced non-stop for a total of 25 hours, 21 minutes and 25 seconds, completing 15 grueling laps up and down the mountain in the process. Charles Hamilton, David McCormick and Robert Thaw, all of Charleston, and Maura Kistler of Lansing rounded out the Citynet team. Kistler also completed one of the women's Top-10 fastest laps.
