Luther Toney, CTO Citynet Retail Division
Toney, a 16 year veteran of the Technology industry, has served multiple sectors throughout his career. Luther joined Citynet in 1999 and has helped to lead Citynet to its current position as one of the fastest growing, full-service telecommunications companies. An expert in VoIP and web design, he is leading Citynet in our VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol or Internet Telephone) product offering, and many other new telephony products. Luther's responsibilities include the day-to-day oversight of the Retail organization - Citynet's largest division. Luther is based in Charleston, WV.

Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from Glenville State College, Toney got his initial opportunity in the coveted tourism industry in West Virginia. His use of Internet marketing and Web Site Production helped to redefine this 75 year old industry in West Virginia. Toney's knowledge of web based applications introduced one-to-one marketing to the Industry. It is from this success which Toney received numerous accolades and appointments.

Toney's expertise in operational efficiency and his use of technology has allowed Citynet to grow where it is today. In addition to his day to day responsibilities over the last 6 years, Toney has achieved some of Cisco's Highest Certifications. His current specializations and certifications include: CQS- IP Telephony Design Specialist, CQS- IP Telephony Operations Specialist, Cisco Product Solutions Essentials IPT, IP Telephony Solutions, Microsoft Certified System Engineer 2003, Microsoft System Administrator 2003, Microsoft Certified Professional Seq 2000 Enterprise, Cisco Certified Network Professional, Cisco Certified Network Design Professional, IPT Project Management Milestones, Cisco Sales Expert, INET+ Network Support and Administration, MCIWD Master Certified Web Site Designer.
